Aileen Cahill

Aileen is an Advisor & Principal of the New England Consulting Group and a key member of our consumer products, technology and innovation practice teams.

Aileen’s career spans over 25 years and includes operating roles for Fortune 500 companies, board room strategy consulting and Adjunct Professor. She integrates traditional marketing with new media designing seamless customer experiences and building over 50 web sites. Her analytic insights coupled with operating experience creatively transform marketing research into cross-functional strategic initiatives that drive business results and win awards.

Aileen is renowned for her pioneering work in the field of Customer Relationship Management (CRM), balancing innovation with pragmatism, and a willingness to roll up her sleeves. She codified her thought leadership in customer-driven omnichannel marketing by authoring Internet Marketing: Building Advantage in a Networked Economy (McGraw-Hill 2001), while working for Michael Porter’s strategy consulting firm Monitor Group. From leading multinational companies such as Kellogg, Nabisco, IBM, Compaq, Fidelity, Bristol-Myers Squibb, GE Capital, Xerox, Unilever, and Wolters-Kleuwer, to “.com” start ups and entrepreneurs, her breadth of consulting and board positions have helped grow a variety of organizations.

She began her career in Brand Management & New Product Development at Hershey, Pepsi and ConAgra. While working at Pepsi, Aileen won the Award of Excellence to recognize her groundbreaking customer satisfaction work that was featured in Fortune magazine and by the Marketing Science Institute. As an “Agile Marketer” and CMO she has combined her degree in Applied Behavioral Analytics with her ∑ix ∑igma greenbelt, to lead fast cycle marketing, continuous improvement and measurement of marketing Return on Investment. Her recent “Return on Sharing” quantifies the monetary value of social sharing and was featured by both CNBC and the Paley Center for Media.

Aileen attended Cornell’s Johnson Graduate School of Management on scholarship, where she earned an MBA in Marketing. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the State University of New York at Binghamton with a degree in Applied Behavioral Analytics (aka. Psychology).
