Ed Piccolino

Ed is an Advisor & Principal of the New England Consulting Group and a key member of our consumer marketing and organization leadership practice teams.

His background reflects thirty years of management development, both as a consultant and coach, and as a senior line manager focused on building high performance organizations.

His experience combines an unusual set of skills encompassing alignment of business strategy with organization needs, strategic staffing and talent development, culminating in the implementation of change management and enterprise value creation.

Prior to New England, Ed served as Executive Vice President of Empower/Manpower Group where he was responsible for human resources consulting for the Americas Region. Much of his work has focused on building leadership teams for Kodak, Sun Chemical, American Airlines and EMI Music. As the Senior Human Resources Officer for PepsiCo International, Ed was instrumental in the complete reorganization and restructuring of both the management and go-to-market teams worldwide involving six regions and 40 countries.

Ed has also been coaching senior leaders in major and emerging pharmaceutical, equipment and health services companies, including Merck, Becton Dickinson, Organon BioSciences, Covidien, Mt. Sinai and ManorCare, focusing on leadership skills and building enduring functional excellence. Additionally, Ed pioneered the mutual application of the leadership center methodology within Johnson & Johnson to identify high potential talent.

He continues to search for new methods and solutions to difficult problems and, as an example, directed the first implementation of assessment center methodology for the identification of leaders within the New York City Policy Department, which has now become a case history for successful change management and value creation.

Ed is a Board Member at Blue Man Productions and MHW Ltd., a leading alcoholic beverage importer, and has also been a member of the Board of Governors for Higher Education in the State of Connecticut.

He holds an MA in Industrial Psychology from Ohio University and a PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
