Marla is an Advisor & Principal of the New England Consulting Group, and a key member of our consumer products and direct selling practice teams.
Marla’s career spans over 30 years of proven general management and leadership experience in consumer products including packaged foods and kitchen products.
Her background as an executive leader includes an extensive track record of inspiring and developing strong management teams. Marla has demonstrated the ability to leverage the combination of general management, corporate strategy and brand building skills to turnaround and grow businesses.
Marla began her career with KPMG before moving to Kraft Foods where she worked for 14 years. Marla held a variety of line and corporate roles while at Kraft. She was Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Post Cereal division; Senior Vice President of Corporate Finance and Investor Relations; and a Vice President of Marketing and Strategy for the Cheese Division; as well as Vice President, Finance-Kraft North America.
Marla moved on to The Pampered Chef, the premier direct seller of high quality kitchen products, where she served as President and Chief Operating Officer before becoming the Chief Executive Officer. Marla led the executive team for 10 years and accomplishments included launching a new platform to contemporize the brand and revitalizing the product line by introducing some of the company’s largest product launches.
Marla is on the Board of Directors of Potbelly and Underwriters Laboratories. She previously served on the Boards of Visteon Corporation and GATX Corporation.
Marla has a Masters of Management from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a BS in Accounting from Indiana University.
