Mike is an Advisor & Principal of the New England Consulting Group, and a key member of our consumer packaged goods and Global practice teams.
Mike is a highly accomplished international executive with a career spanning three decades at H.J. Heinz. Mike became a central player and highly regarded expert during his tenure at Heinz. He joined Heinz in 1980 as an Assistant Product Manager and by 2010 was named Executive Vice President.
Mike’s increasing responsibilities included developing and managing the industry-transforming plastic ketchup bottle to being responsible for all Heinz operations in Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. Under his leadership, Heinz’s core businesses in these areas enjoyed double-digit annual top line and bottom line growth. While at Heinz, Mike also created Heinz’s Enterprise Risk Management function.
Mike’s career included setting strategy to resolve some of Heinz’s greatest business challenges, from portfolio realignment, to organization restructuring to priority investment matrices. His career has been guided by a singular focus on customer driven results.
Mike previously served on the boards of Heinz Egypt, India and South Africa, as well as the American Middle East Institute, the Pet Food Institute and the National Food Processors Association.
Throughout his tenure, he worked on many acquisitions, divestitures and strategic alliances across categories and countries.
Mike has a BA in Natural Sciences from Colgate and an MBA in Marketing from Wharton.
