Pete is an Advisor & Principal of the New England Consulting Group, and a key member of our restaurant and financial services practice teams.
Pete’s career spans more than 35 years. He is the former Chairman and President of Yum! Restaurants International, a major operating unit of Yum! Brands.
Previously, Pete was also in charge of Yum!’s Asian business and was based in Hong Kong. During his tenure with Yum!, Pete was responsible for more than 13,000 restaurants spread across more than 100 countries and generating more than $1.5 billion in operating profit for the global enterprise.
Prior to Yum!, Pete held a wide range of roles at PepsiCo, including both finance and general management positions working for Pepsi-Cola, Pepsi International, Frito-Lay, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell, in addition to the International restaurants’ business.
At PepsiCo, Pete held responsibilities in corporate financial planning, as well as divisional accountabilities including FP&A and financial strategic management for both the franchise and owned and operated bottling operations.
While at Taco Bell, Pete held the CFO position for seven years where he established critical system and growth metrics to manage, control and support the rapidly growing global brand.
Pete currently sits on the Boards of BJ’s Restaurants (as the lead independent director) and Potbelly Sandwich Works. He has served as a Director of El Pollo Loco, BB Liquidating, EPL Intermediate, Yum! Restaurants International and Pep Boys – Manny, Moe & Jack.
He received has a B.S. in Mathematics and an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Rhode Island.
